Wind Catcher Energy Connection

The Wind Catcher Energy Connection involves a new 2,000-MW wind farm in Texas and Cimarron countries in Western Oklahoma and interconnection line. The line will be a 765-kV, HVDC transmission line approximately 350 miles in length to bring wind energy from western Oklahoma to Tulsa. Invenergy is currently developing the wind farm. American Electric Power via its subsidiaries is expected to buy the wind project once complete and is the sponsor of the interconnection transmission line.
