Winco to Hazelton

The Winco to Hazelton project is designated as a multi-value Project by the Midwest ISO MTEP 2011 Report. Designed to connect with the Lakefield Junction to Burt project, this project creates a 181-mile double circuit 345/161 kV path through northern Iowa. New 345 kV transmission line will be built from the new Winco substation to Lime Creek to Emery to Blackhawk to Hazelton. Rebuilt 161 kV transmission line will be on the same towers as the 345 kV and will go from Lime Creek to Emery to Hampton to Franklin to Union Tap to Blackhawk to Hazelton. A 345/161 kV, 450 MVA transformer will be installed at Lime Creek, Emery and Blackhawk. The project was completed on November 7, 2016.
