Vicksburg Area Improvement Project

The Vicksburg Area Improvement Project involves constructing a new 115-kV substation, rebuilding the existing East Vicksburg-Ray Braswell 115-kV line and also rebuilding the 115-kV line from Southeast Vicksburg to the new substation location. The project has an estimated cost of $41m with an in-service date of late 2017. The project will address future load growth and reliability needs in Warren and Hinds counties.
