The Verde Transmission Project is a 30 mile, 345-kV transmission line that will interconnect PNM’s Ojo Station to Norton substation. The project would complete the 345-kV loop in the Northern New Mexico system, contributing to the reliability of the power system. This project is intended to increase transmission capacity in Northern New Mexico. That capacity would increase the reliability of the regional transmission system, help accommodate anticipated demand growth, and facilitate the development and interconnection of renewable energy.
