The Vancouver City Central Transmission Project is a 5-mile, 230-kV transmission line that originates at Mt Pleasant Substation and terminates at Sperling Substation, British Columbia. The project, which is sponsored by BC Hydro, cost $170m. Construction was completed in June 2014. The project will increase reliability in the Vancouver area and provide more power to the South False Creek and Mount Pleasant areas.
