Southwest Twin Cities Chaska Area 115 kV Upgrade

The Southwest Twin Cities Chaska Area 115 kV Upgrade project is about 8.5 miles of new 115-kV single circuit transmission line facilities and upgrading the operating voltage of 2.9 miles of an existing 69-kV line to 115-kV. The project includes modifications at certain associated facilities, including the existing Augusta, Victoria, West Creek, Chaska and Scott County substations. Construction begin after permits were obtained in the spring of 2013 with an in-service date of spring 2014. The project is estimated to have cost about $18.2 million.
