The Southwest Mississippi Reliability Improvement Project involves constructing a new 230-kV line between the Baxter Wilson and Natchez substations. In addition, the project involves rebuilding the 115-kV within the same corridor. The project is being built to address future load growth in the region and is expected to be completed by 2018. According to THUB calculations, the project has an estimated length of 62 miles.
