Project Compass

The Project Compass project involves a first segment that includes a 95-mile, 345-kV transmission line from Lackawanna, PA, to Ramapo, NY. The line would provide needed grid reliability as well allow other renewable and economic benefits. The project has an estimated cost of $500m to 600m and is expected to be in-service in 2023. There are plans to expand the project with nearly 475 miles of new 500-kV line as well with a total cost of nearly $4bn.
