
The Price Road Corridor project involves a new 2.9-mile, single-circuit 230-kV power line which will connect the Schrader substation to the Gila River Indian Community (GRIC) boundary. The project also includes a new half-mile single-circuit, 230-kV line and a half-mile double-circuit, 230-kV line from the GRIC boundary to a new RS-28 substation. The project is purposed to improve the reliability in the region and help serve larger commercial and industrial customers in the Tempe area. According to THUB calculations, the project has an estimated cost of $12.5m.
