NV Energy’s One Nevada, or ON Line, transmission project was the first transmission project to get DOE American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding, of $343m. ON Line is a 235-mile 500-kV transmission line that runs from the existing Harry Allen substation in Clark County to the Thirtymile (aka Robinson Summit) substation in White Pine County. The project is part of the southern portion of Southwest Intertie Project, sponsored by Great Basin Transmission (LS Power), which runs from Idaho to southern Nevada. The project was energized in the beginning of 2014.
