Northern Greeley Area Transmission Plan Project

The Northern Greeley Area Project is a $65m investment to improve reliability in the Greeley, CO, area. The project involves a new 7-mile, 230-kV transmission line between the WAPA Ault substation and a new Xcel Husky substation. The project also involves a new 7-mile, 230-kV transmission line between a new Graham Creek substation and the planned Husky substation. Finally, a new 11-mile, 115-kV transmission line will run from the Graham Creek substation and Cloverly substation. Xcel Energy’s Public Service Company of Colorado expects to complete the project by late 2020.
