The New England Clean Energy Connect involves a new 145-mile, HVDC line between existing and new right-of-way between the Quebec border and near the town of Lewiston, ME. The project is designed to bring additional hydroelectric capacity from Canada to the Massachusetts market. The $950m project is still seeking all regulatory approval and is expected to be completed in 2022.
