The Menahga Area 115-kV Transmisison Project is a series of new transission lines in Hubbard, Wadena and Becker Counties, MN. The project involves two new 115-kV transmission lines:one that will run approximately 4.5 miles between the Hubbard and Pipeline substations and another running approximately 18 miles between the Pipeline and Red Eye substations. The project will also include the construction of a new Blueberry Substation near the existing Menahga Substation. The project is being built to relieve overload issues in the region and is expected to begin operations in 2017.
