The Illinois Rivers Project starts in Palmyra, Missouri and passes through Pawnee, Illinois on its way to Sugar Creek, Indiana. There are two additional spurs in Illinois from Meredosia to Ipava and from Sidney to Rising. The project is estimated to cost about $1.4 billion. The project is classified as a multi-value project (MVP) within the Midwest ISO MTEP11 planning process. The project is expected to improve reliability and open more corridors to move renewable energy in the Midwest market.
