
The Harburg – Sabine Junction project involves a new 500-kV transmission line along with a new substation in East Texas. Parts of the existing Sabine-McFadden and Sabine-Nederland lines will also be reconfigured. The project is needed to ensure reliability within the existing infrastructure and is expected to be complete in 2023. MISO is currently holding bids for the project from sponsors. According to THUB calculations, the project has an estimated length of 70 miles.
