The Duffield Area Improvements Project involves replacing approximately 15 miles of existing 34.5-kV transmission line to 69-kV. In addition, two miles of new 138-kV transmission line and a new Duffield substation will be built. The existing Sunbright substation will also be removed. The project is needed to address electric reliability concerns during the winter of 2014. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2017.
