Dermott to Scurry County South is a 33-mile, 345-kV transmission line, originating at Dermott Collection Station and terminating at Scurry County South Collection Station in Scurry County, Texas. Proposed by Oncor Electric Delivery Co., the transmission line cost $49 million and was energized on December 1, 2011. The project will interconnect renewable energy from the Central CREZ Zone to lines serving North and Central Texas. Also, the project is critical to relieve the congestion that is hampering the delivery of existing wind-energized energy to the grid.
