Del Sol to JackieHoward

The Del Sol to JackieHoward project is a planned 10-mile, 345-kV transmission line between the proposed JackieHoward and Del Sol substations in South Texas. The new Del Sol substation will accommodate a series capacitor on ETT’s planned Lobo to Rio Bravo to North Edinburg 345-kV line, while the JackieHoward substation will be located at the Los Vientos IV wind farm. There currently are no existing transmission facilities located near the site of the planned Los Vientos IV wind farm capable of connecting the 200 MW plant into the ERCOT system. The Los Vientos IV wind farm is scheduled to be complete in 2016 along with the Del Sol to JackieHoward line.
