Dawson Creek Chetwynd Area is a 45-mile, 230-kV double circuit transmission line that originates at Sundance Substation and terminates at Bear Mountain Terminal, British Columbia. Proposed by BC Hydro, the transmission line will cost approximately C$220 million to C$255 million. The project will be commissioned in late 2015 or early 2016. The project involves the removal of existing 138 kV lines and it will help meet load demand in the Dawson Creek area due to expanded drilling for natural gas.
