Cricket Valley Energy Center LLC is planning to build a 14.5 mile 345-kV transmission from their proposed CVE Substation to the existing ConEd Pleasant Valley Substation. The new line parallel to Line 398 would be constructed in the existing corridor. The CVE Substation will be located in Dover, NY, about 3 miles west of the NY-Connecticut border. Upon completion the ownership of the project will transfer to ConEd, while the generation facility would be owned and operated by CVE. The project is purposed in order to improve reliablity in the region and allow greater flexibility. The transmission capability of the line will be nominally 1000MW of capacity.
