Cottonwood to Dermott

Cottonwood to Dermott is a 74-mile, 345-kV Competitive Renewable Energy Zones (CREZ) transmission line that originates at the Cottonwood (Panhandle AD) Substation located in northwestern Dickens County, Texas, and terminates at Oncor’s Dermott(Central B) Switching Station located in northern Scurry County, Texas. The project, sponsored by Wind Energy Transmission Texas LLC, was estimated to cost approximately $141.6 million. On August 17, 2012, Wind Energy Transmission Texas filed a delay in estimated completion of the project from December 19, 2012 to March 31, 2013.
