The Clendenin – Walton Area Improvements project involves 25 miles of new 138-kV transmission line as well as three new substations. The project will begin at a new substation in Charleston, WV, and terminate at a new substation near the Roane-Calhoun county line. The project is needed to ensure reliability in the region.
