Clear Crossing to Willow Creek Line

The Clear Crossing to Willow Creek Line is a 110-mile, 345-kV transmission line, originating at Clear Crossing and terminating at Willow Creek, Texas. The transmission line, sponsored by Oncor Electric Delivery Co., cost approximately $163.3 million. Construction began January 21, 2012, and was completed at the end of 2013. This project was recommended by the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (“ERCOT”) to ensure continued safe and reliable electric service to the State due to the increased integration of electric energy generated by wind production facilities. The project will enable the new transmission system to efficiently move wind-generated electric power to market and will add valuable capacity to the entire transmission system.
