Central Bluff to Bluff Creek

Central Bluff to Bluff Creek is a 10-mile, double-circuit 345-kV transmission line, originating at the Central Bluff Collection Station and terminating at the Bluff Creek Switching Station. The project, sponsored by Oncor Electric Delivery Co., cost $15 million and was completed in February 2012. The project’s purpose is to interconnect renewable energy from the Central CREZ Zone to the Central Texas area. The project is also critical to relieve the congestion that is hampering the delivery of existing wind-energized energy to the grid.
