The Canisteo HVTL Project project, sponsored by Minnesota Power, is a planned 5 mile, 115-kV transmission line which will run from the existing 28 Line to a new Canisteo substation. The proposed project would provide power to the proposed Magnetation mining project being developed in the region. The project came online along with Magnetation Plant 4 in the fourth quarter of 2014.
