The $97m Biers Run Project, sponsored by AEP Ohio, is a transmission reinforcement effort in the southern Ohio region. The project involves: A new 345/138/69-kV Biers Run substation – estimated to cost $22m Two new 138-kV circuits which will run from the Circleville to Biers Run to Delano stations Two new 69-kV circuits to reinforce the existing 138-kV and 69-kV transmission system The project will provide much needed voltage and capacity support as well as address long-term reliability issues in the area. The project is expected to be energized by March 2017.
