The Atlantic Link project is a proposed underwater HVDC transmission line that would run from New Brunswick to southern Massachusetts. The project would move nearly 900MW of hydro or wind electricity to resell in New England. The project is still in early development and is expected to be completed by late 2022. The project has an initial cost of $2bn.
