N.J. governor signs bill to add definition of ‘open access offshore wind transmission facility’ to existing law

As noted in a Jan. 14 legislative fiscal estimate produced by the Office of Legislative Services, the bill amends the Electric Discount and Energy Competition Act to define an open access offshore wind transmission facility as a high-voltage transmission facility, located either in the Atlantic Ocean or onshore, and used to facilitate the collection or delivery of offshore wind energy to the electric transmission system in the state
