American Transmission Company, in a July 24 quarterly progress report for the period April 1 through June 30 filed with Wisconsin regulators, said that its Boscobel to Lone Rock (Line Y124) Rebuild Project is on schedule for substantial completion of the Y-124 rebuild in December 2019.
To install the initial 138-kV circuit along Route H, it would cost about $6.5m for the transmission facilities portion of the project; about $2.7m for the East Rio Hondo facilities; and about $1.9m for the Palmas facilities, STEC said.
The line connects the company’s Reynolds substation in Reynolds, Ind., Burr Oak substation in Burr Oak, Ind., and Hiple substation near Topeka, Ind., NIPSCO said.
John Poole, an engineering specialist with the Public Utility Commission of Texas’ Infrastructure and Reliability Division, on July 23 concluded that “Route B3” is the best route when weighing certain factors.
State regulators said that the primary components of the standard include initial procurement solicitations, to be held by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, New York Power Authority and/or Long Island Power Authority in 2018 and 2019, for offshore wind renewable energy credits associated with about 800 MW of offshore wind.
The company said that it will file an application seeking approval for the project later this year with the Virginia State Corporation Commission, and that if the project is approved, construction is expected to begin in early 2020.
As noted in a joint proposed notice of approval regarding Southwestern Public Service’s (SPS) application to amend a certificate of convenience and necessity for the proposed 230-kV transmission line within Hale County, SPS filed the application with the commission in late May, there were no interventions in the proceeding, and there are no contested issues of law or fact.
American Transmission Company, in a report received on July 17 by the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin, said that gross project expenditures on the Riverside Project as of June 30 were about $12.5m, or 29.7% of the authorized total of about $42.1m.
The estimated conceptual cost of the project is $19m, which includes $18.5m for transmission-related work and $0.5m for substation-related work (2018 dollars), the company said.
In its July 17 quarterly progress report for the period April 1 through June 30 filed with Wisconsin regulators, ATC said that the project is currently in design for the transmission lines and two of the four substations.
