The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Jan. 4 accepted a November 2016 filing by American Electric Power Service Corp., on behalf of affiliate AEP Texas Central Co., of a Second Amended and Restated ERCOT Standard Generation Interconnection Agreement with Patriot Wind Farm LLC.
The revision makes several changes from the prior agreement, including:
- changing the Schedule Trial Operation Date of Exhibit “B” from Sept. 5, 2016, to June 3, 2017;
- changing the Schedule Commercial Operation Date of Exhibit “B” from Dec. 30, 2016, to Aug. 15, 2017;
- revisions to Exhibit “C” to reflect the change in plant capacity from 180 MW to 178.35 MW and the number and size of generating units from 90 units at 2.0 MW each to 58 units at 3.075 MW each; and
- revisions to Exhibit “C” to reflect the change in the type of generating units from Vestas V110 2.0 MW wind turbines to Acciona 3.075 MW wind turbines.
The amended agreement provides for the electrical interconnection of this wind farm and also the project developer’s Shaffer Substation in Nueces County, Texas. The Point of Interconnection will be located at the dead-end structure outside AEP Texas Central’s Nelson Sharpe Station that terminates the generator’s 345-kV transmission line from the substation.
