The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Jan. 10 accepted a November 2016 filing by the Southwest Power Pool of an executed Generator Interconnection Agreement (GIA) with Cottonwood Wind Project LLC and interconnecting transmission owner Nebraska Public Power District.
This Fifth Revised Cottonwood GIA modified and superseded the GIA among the parties that the commission accepted in November 2015.
Cottonwood plans to construct an 89.48-MW wind farm, which will consist of forty-eight (48) General Electric 1.715-MW wind turbines and four General Electric 1.79-MW wind turbines. Since the prior GIA, the parties agreed to update the Appendix B milestones.
The project’s Point of Interconnection is NPPD‘s new Rosemont 115-kV substation, to be located on the Pauline-Guide Rock 115-kV transmission line.
The current commercial operation target date is Dec. 1, 2017.
