Changes made in TVA board of directors with New Year

Three members of the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) board of directors saw their term end effective Jan. 3, according to a filing that TVA made Jan. 5 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

The terms of C. Peter Mahurin, Michael R. McWherter, and Joe H. Ritch as members of the TVA Board of Directors ended January 3, 2017, with the adjournment of the second session of the 114th Congress. Their terms of office, which began in 2013, expired May 18, 2016. The TVA Act permitted them to continue to serve as Directors until the end of this session of Congress.

According to a TVA website, the current members of the TVA board include: Marilyn A. Brown of Atlanta, whose term ends May 18 of this year; Lynn Evans of Memphis, whose term ends May 18 of this year; Richard Howorth of Oxford, Mississippi, whose term ends in May 2020; Virginia Lodge of Nashville, whose term ends in May 2019; Eric Satz of Nashville whose term ends in May 2018; and Ronald Walter of Memphis whose term ends in May 2019.
