Virginia DEQ issues permit for 20-MW Coronal/Essex solar project

The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) on Dec. 7 approved an application for coverage under the Small Renewable Energy Project (Solar) Permit by Rule program from Coronal Development Services LLC/Essex Solar Center.

The application was received on Oct. 11, 2016. This photovoltaic project is to be located in Dunnsville, Essex County, on approximately 275 acres, off Highway 17 near Dominion Virginia Power‘s Dunnsville Electrical Substation. It will have a maximum capacity of 20 MW.
