North Carolina commission okays changes for 79.9-MW McBride solar project

The North Carolina Utilities Commission on Dec. 16 approved revisions to a certificate of public convenience and necessity that it had issued in November 2014 to McBride Place Energy LLC for construction of a 79.9-MW (ac) solar facility to be located on U.S. Highway 601 between Joyner Road and Mt. Pleasant Road near Midland, Cabarrus County, North Carolina.

On Nov. 28, the company provided updated information informing the commission of changes regarding two parcels of land for the project. It also stated that the following e911 address has been assigned to the project site: 9375 U.S. Highway 601 S, Midland.
