Greensmith Energy announced Dec. 13 that Leclanché has selected Greensmith to provide a turn-key 20MW/10MWh system in Marengo, Ill., which is just outside of Chicago.
As Greensmith’s fifth system operating within the PJM Interconnection market, the site will provide frequency regulation as the main use-case. Leclanché will provide the batteries and work with Greensmith to deliver the project. This site will be commissioned by May 2017.
