Dangerously cold wind chills Northern Plains to New England

Arctic air and strong winds will continue to bring bitterly cold wind chills from the Northern Plains to New England, according to the National Weather Service.

A significant winter storm will continue to bring heavy snow to the Sierra and Rockies, northern Plains and into the upper Midwest and Great Lakes. A wintry mix is expected late Friday into Saturday from the Middle Atlantic to southern New England. Travel impacts likely.
