Camden Solar pursues North Carolina approval for 20-MW project

Filed Dec. 16 at the North Carolina Utilities Commission was an application from Camden Solar LLC for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity on a 20 MW (ac) solar photovoltaic project to be located at the southwest intersection of S343 and Sand Hills Rd. in Camden County, N.C.

Dec. 31, 2017, is the projected on-line date for the Cartwright Farm project. The applicant plans to sell the electricity generated to Dominion North Carolina Power (DNCP). This is a $42 million project.
