Warm weather expected in northern Rockies, Upper Midwest

Unseasonably warm temperatures expected from the northern Rockies to the Upper Midwest, according to the National Weather Service. The weather pattern across the contiguous U.S. will be unusually quiet for November through the short range forecast period.

A fast-moving cold front will cross the Northeastern U.S. today, bringing scattered rain showers, with snow showers possible for the highest elevations. The cold front will also sweep across the Ohio valley and southeastern U.S., but it will be starved for moisture and will produce little or no precipitation for those areas.
