Trump tapping Myron Ebell to lead EPA transition

Numerous news outlets report that President-elect Donald Trump has selected Myron Ebell, director for energy and environment at the free-market Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) to oversee the transition effort for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).  

A bio posted on the CEI website says that Ebell also chairs the “Cooler Heads Coalition,” which includes over two-dozen member organizations in the United States and international that “question global warming alarmism and oppose energy rationing policies.”

Ebell has appeared on many national television news talk shows. He has spoken frequently on a variety of BBC radio news shows and on hundreds of radio talk shows.

His writings have appeared in many national publications. Ebell holds a B.A. from Colorado College and an M.S. from the London School of Economics. He also did graduate work at the University of California at San Diego and at Peterhouse, Cambridge University.

The Competitive Enterprise Institute is a non-profit public policy organization “dedicated to advancing the principles of limited government, free enterprise, and individual liberty,” according to the CEI website.
