SR South Loving seeks EWG status for 52-MW solar project in Georgia

SR South Loving LLC on Nov. 18 filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission a notice of self-certification as an Exempt Wholesale Generator for its 52-MW solar project in Georgia.

SR South Loving is controlled by Silicon Ranch Corp. The project is located in Jeff Davis County, Georgia. It will interconnect with the Georgia Transmission Corp. system and sell its entire output for resale to Green Power Electric Membership Corp.

SR South Loving on Nov. 4 had requested that FERC grant it authority to make market-based wholesale sales of capacity, energy, and ancillary services pursuant to the market-based rate tariff.
