The Southwest Power Pool on Nov. 14 filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission an executed Generator Interconnection Agreement (GIA) with Cottonwood Wind Project LLC and interconnecting transmission owner Nebraska Public Power District.
This Fifth Revised Cottonwood GIA modifies and supersedes the GIA among the parties that the commission accepted on Nov. 10, 2015.
Cottonwood plans to construct an 89.48 MW wind generation facility, which will consist of forty-eight (48) General Electric 1.715 MW wind turbines and four General Electric 1.79 MW wind turbines. Since the GIA from last November, the parties agreed to update the Appendix B milestones.
The project’s Point of Interconnection is NPPD‘s new Rosemont 115-kV substation, to be located on the Pauline-Guide Rock 115-kV transmission line.
The current commercial operation target date is Dec. 1, 2017.
