A series of storms will continue to bring rain and high elevation snow to the Northwest U.S. and northern California for the remainder of the week, according to the National Weather Service. Locally heavy rainfall is possible. Locally heavy rain is possible in the Ohio Valley and parts of the Plains.
An expansive frontal boundary from Quebec to Arizona will slowly track east over the next couple of days. Scattered to widespread showers and thunderstorms will develop along this boundary. As the front stalls along the Great Lakes and Mississippi Valley on this afternoon, rain will will initiate and spread across the southern Plains/Rockies.
