Cypress Creek seeks approval for 80-MW Hardin Solar project in North Carolina

Filed Nov. 21 at the North Carolina Utilities Commission by the Hardin Solar LLC affiliate of Cypress Creek Renewables was an application for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity covering an 80-MW (ac) project that will be located at the intersection of Conway Road, Swamp Fox Hwy W, and Small Road, in Fair Bluff, Columbus County, North Carolina.

The facility is projected to come on-line as of Oct. 1, 2019. The facility owner plans to sell the electricity to Duke Energy Progress pursuant to a power purchase agreement.

The service life of the $151.2 million project is expected to be approximately 35 years. The projected annual sales are expected to be 165,018,300 kWh.
