
The Osborne Solar LLC affiliate of Cypress Creek Renewables applied Nov. 21 at the North Carolina Utilities Commission for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity on a 75-MW (ac) solar facility that will be located along North Carolina 177, around its intersection with Battley Dairy Road, in Rockingham, Richmond County, North Carolina.
The facility is projected to come on-line as of Oct, 1, 2018. The facility owner plans to sell the electricity to Duke Energy Progress pursuant to a power purchase agreement.
The service life of the project is expected to be approximately 35 years. The projected annual sales of the facility are 153,663,700 kWh. The estimated project price tag is $141.75 million.
