North Carolina re-approves unbuilt, 80-MW Innovative Solar 37 project

The North Carolina Utilities Commission on Oct. 4 granted a re-approval to Innovative Solar 37 LLC for an 80-MW (ac) project to take into account some site changes.

In September 2014, the commission granted a certificate of public convenience and necessity for Innovative Solar 37 for construction of an 80-MW (ac) photovoltaic facility to be located at 2760 Old Sneedsboro Road, Morven, Anson County, North Carolina. On June 13, the company filed amendments to its application stating that the facility will encompass additional acreage besides that identified in its initial application.

The June 13 revision was filed by project developer FLS Energy, which acquired the unbuilt project in August 2015. Contact information is: FLS Energy, 130 Roberts Street, Asheville, NC 28801, Attention: Patty Mandaro, (828) 350-3993 phone, legal@flsenergy.com.
