North Carolina commission approves 5-MW Ennis Solar project

Project company Ennis Solar LLC won an Oct. 18 approval from the North Carolina Utilities Commission for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity on a 5-MW (ac) solar project.

The application said the project is due to come on-line as of Sept. 1, 2017, and would sell output to Duke Energy Progress. This $7.8 million project would be located at 600 Sheriff Johnson Rd (SR 1516), Lillington, Harnett County, N.C.
