Garrett Solar II seeks North Carolina approval for 5-MW project

Garrett Solar II LLC applied Oct. 21 at the North Carolina Utilities Commission Application for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity on a 4.99-MW (ac) solar photovoltaic project to be located at 1719 Virgilina Road, Roxboro, Person County, North Carolina.

The $7.8 million project would go on-line as of May 9, 2018. All electricity produced is to be sold to Duke Energy Progress. It would conists of approximately 20,048 340Wp ground-mounted solar modules or equivalent.
