
Cypress Creek Renewables LLC on Oct. 13 filed with the North Carolina Utilities Commission certain updates on the Innovative Solar 46 LLC project, including an updated Form 556 for QF projects with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
Innovative Solar 46 had in April 2014 applied with the North Carolina commission for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for a 78.5-MW (ac) project. It is to be located at 6507 Roslin Farm Rd., Hope Mills, Cumberland County, N.C. The project will interconnect with the Duke Energy Progress system and sell power to that utility. The Form 556 shows an anticipated in-service date in December 2016.
The facility will be a 78.5-MW (ac) photovoltaic (PV) array comprised of approximately one hundred twenty four thousand five hundred twenty (124,520) 310W panels, seventy two thousand seven hundred twenty (72,720) 320W panels, and one hundred twenty one thousand two hundred (121,200) 315W panels (or equivalent) attached to ground-mounted racks. The facility will utilize approximately seventy nine (79) 1100 kVA inverters (or equivalent).
