Cypress Creek seeks okay on 75-MW Old Hundred Solar project in North Carolina

The Old Hundred Solar LLC affiliate of Cypress Creek Renewables LLC applied Oct. 10 at the North Carolina Utilities Commission for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for a 75-MW (ac) facility to be located around the intersection of Fred Carter Road and Peeles Chapel Road, in Laurel Hill, Scotland County, North Carolina.

The facility is projected to come on-line  as of Sept. 1, 2018. The facility owner plans to sell the electricity to Duke Energy Progress pursuant to a power purchase agreement.

The service life of the $141.8 million project is expected to be approximately 35 years. The projected annual sales of the facility are expected to be about 155,194,000 kWh.
