PJM terminates wholesale deal for 9-MW Red Valley Solar project in N.J.

PJM Interconnection on Sept. 9 notified the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission of the cancellation of an executed Wholesale Market Participation Agreement from 2014 with Red Valley Solar LLC and interconnecting transmission owner Jersey Central Power & Light for a 9-MW project in New Jersey.

“The WMPA is being cancelled because Red Valley has decided not to move forward with its interconnection project,” said PJM.

The project had PJM Queue Position #W4-045. The Red Valley Solar Farm was to be located on Trenton Lakewood Road in Upper Freehold, New Jersey. The Maximum Facility Output of this photovoltaic project was 9 MW. The commercial operation target date had been Dec. 31 of this year.
